How long and how many times a week is a typical session?

Individual sessions are 30 minutes and group sessions are 60 minutes. Most clients are seen one to three times per week; however, the number of sessions is dependent on the individual’s current needs.

How long will I be in speech-language therapy?

The length of time an individual is in therapy depends on the nature of the difficulties and the goals of the therapy. Home practice recommendations will be provided and are critical to improving the rate of progress.

Will my health insurance cover speech-language therapy?

Most major insurance companies cover speech-language therapy services; however, each insurance plan is individualized. We can assist you in determining your eligibility for speech-language therapy services with your health insurance.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes, we participate with many insurance companies. If we do not participate with your health insurance company, we can assist you in filing for reimbursement for out of network services.

How do I know if my child, my family member, or I need speech-language therapy?

Easy! Call us with your concerns and we will determine if an evaluation is recommended. After the evaluation is completed, a full medical and educational history is taken and all results are analyzed. A comprehensive report will be written and we will determine if therapy is recommended .

If my child receives therapy at school or through the county, can he also come for private therapy?

Yes, you can attend private therapy (which may be covered by your health insurance) in addition to the county/state/school provided therapy.
